Animal Aid Unlimited
Animal Aid Unlimited (AAU) is an animal rescue charity based in Udaipur, India, known for its viral YouTube videos and global donor base.
The challenge
AAU’s outdated website was negatively affecting user experience and, in turn, the charity’s ability to receive online donations. They needed a modern site that would immediately engage visitors and drive up donations, while also giving them more flexibility around content management.
The solution
Castlegate IT built a visually striking WordPress site for AAU, using their dynamic photography of animals, volunteers and staff to spark an instant connection with visitors. To ensure that the website reached the widest possible audience, we followed digital inclusion best practices.
We integrated GiveWP, a versatile online payment platform that accepts both one-off and recurring donations in multiple currencies, including Indian rupees via a Razorpay integration. The new website gives visitors a range of additional ways to support the charity, such as animal sponsorships and pet memorials, to increase the likelihood of ongoing financial support.
We also provided AAU with a number of page layouts to accommodate the range of content types that they wanted to be able to add.
