Graduate Students’ Association
The Graduate Students’ Association represents all postgraduate students at the University of York. They organise groups, events, and trips to provide a sense of community and promote the welfare of their members during their studies. The GSA asked us to design and build a new website, using their new logo and branding guidelines and providing them with the features they need to reach current and prospective graduate students.
We worked closely with the GSA to create a bold, modern design that builds on their brand typography and colours. We designed the site to be fast and accessible, using responsive web design to make sure it works well on all devices, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
We built the site using WordPress, with an entirely bespoke theme and custom plugins to provide just the functions they need and nothing more. The site includes search, newsletter subscriptions, a blog, and full events management system. It also provides integration with the GSA’s appointment booking system, so students can arrange the support they need directly from the website.
